ok.....i've been trying to figure out the best & simplest ways to use classmates & facebook so they can help with planning the 25 year reunion & contact everyone......quite frankly i don't care for facebook - even tho it's free ....(there are rumors they may start charging a fee), and the only good thing about classmates is there are around 100 people listed as members of our class - but not everyone is a paying member.......in my opinion these sites are "TOO BUSY" for busy people -- they have too much eye candy, too many navigational buttons/links, too many ferris wheels, too many bells & whistles, too much fluff, and WAY too much extra crap we don't really need....... i think ALL WE REALLY need is a contact/email list that people can subscribe to so we can send general updates and info; and we need a message board -- to post planning info if you want to try & attend planning meetings and to also get the finalized reunion info........lets save the posting of pics, playing games, sending hugs, joining groups, etc, on the afore-mentioned sites.......
can anyone, or would anyone, be willing to design & oversee a cheap & simple website dedicated only to our BCHS 85 reunions ???? we can add a couple dollars to the price of attending the reunions for site maintenance --- and some of us would be willing to send you some money now to help start it ....... i know frank scales has the everything bchs website (which is great) but i don't think we can use it as the only means of communication between just our class because there are fewer people registered there than at classmates........
the email i used for the last reunion is heyacebchs85 on yahoo & i'll be checking it more often than going to classmates or facebook --- so please send any suggestions on how to make this reunion as simple as possible.......
